Driving Directions

From North:

  • I-79 South to
  • I-279 South (Pittsburgh) to exit 2A.  Follow signs and get on “I-579 / Veteran’s Bridge”
  • I-579 / Veteran’s Bridge to I-376 East (Monroeville)
  • Take I-376 East to exit 74 (Squirrel Hill / Homestead exit).   While on exit ramp for Squirrel Hill, follow the “Homestead” signs and continue approx 1-1/2 miles.  Pass a Pennzoil and Sunoco. Continue straight (down Browns Hill Rd) and cross the Grays / High Level Bridge.
  • At the end of the bridge, get into the left turning lane.  Make a left onto RT 837 South (aka 8th Ave).  Continue approx 2 +/- miles to the Rankin Bridge (Gulf Station).
  • See a Gulf Station on the right side and Rankin Bridge on the left.  Make a left onto the bridge.
  • Continue across bridge in the right lane and IMMEDIATELY exit at the end of the bridge via ramp to your right. (No signage on bridge for exit/ramp)
  • Continue to the first light and make a left onto Braddock Ave.
  • Continue to the Family Dollar store on the corner of 6th and Braddock Ave.  Make a right on 6th St.
  • Follow 3 blocks to Josh Steel straight ahead

From South:

  • I-79 North to

  • Follow 3 blocks to Josh Steel straight ahead

– OR –

  • Route 51 North to
  • Route 837 N – continue on passing Kennywood (on your right)
  • When descending down hill approximately 1 mile after Kennywood, get in the left lane
  • At second light, make right onto Rankin Bridge, staying in the right lane
  • Immediately exit to the right at the end of the bridge. (No signage on bridge for exit/ramp)
  • Continue to the first light and make a left onto Braddock Ave.
  • Continue to the Family Dollar store on the corner of 6th St. and Braddock Ave.  Make a right onto 6th St.
  • Follow 3 blocks to Josh Steel – straight ahead

From East:

  • I-76 to exit 57 (Monroeville).  Pay toll using left toll lane
  • After tollbooth, follow signs on left toward Monroeville/ RT 22.     DO NOT TAKE I-376
  • Merge onto Rt 22 and move immediately to the left lane
  • Left at first light onto Rt 48 South
  • Go approximately 4-5 miles to Rt 130 (See Sheetz gas station on left)
  • Right onto Rt 130 and continue approximately 8 miles (through Pitcairn where the road widens to 4 lanes).
  • After you enter Rt 130, ignore the Rt 130 signs.  (Rt 130 veers off the main road – Stay on the main road).   The road connecting Rt 48 to 6th Street in Braddock begins as Rt 130 and changes names to Tri-Borough Expressway, and then changes names to Braddock Ave.
  • Continue through Turtle Creek / East Pittsburgh into Braddock
  • Pass US Steel ET Works and continue to 6th Street
  • See Family Dollar and Bell’s Market at the intersection of Braddock Ave and 6th St. Make a left onto 6th St.
  • Follow 3 blocks to Josh Steel straight ahead

From West:
